A Guide to Nail Shapes

Basic guide on different nail shapes and which style is best suited for you.

Square Nails – Square shaped nails have been quite popular lately and they are perfect for doing a French manicure. Typical those with medium to longer nails.

Although they require a lot of maintenance and can chip easily, they are ideal for drawing attention to your hands.

Oval Nails – This shape has a roundish square shape that goes best with those who have longer fingers. Very easy to maintain and harder to chip.

Round Nails – This is a style that is common among girls who have shorter nails that are brittle and easier to chip. They are easy to shape and a lot easier to maintain.

Almond Nails – A feminine style that makes your fingers look thinner. The edges are thinner but shorter than stiletto nails and not pointed, they are shaped like an almond.

Stiletto Nails – A new and hot nail trend that is found in many nail salons. The nails are long with pointy tips, and definitely draw attention. They take some getting used to and can break easily. Also not recommended if you wear contacts, just saying.
